Becoming established in 1908 after Mr. Reid bought into the Smith Brothers business, Smith & Reid remained in business until 1914.
In 1912 the company was listed as trading from 174 Adelaide Road, but by 1913 this had become 13 Riddiford Street.
Smith & Reid became known as the 'Wellington Aerated Water Co.' in 1914 and in 1917 it was bought by Thomson Lewis & Co.
