J. Masters

1844 - 1846
Joseph Masters manufactured both aerated water and beer from his Te Aro address. Masters' business commenced in 1844, and in 1846 he formed a partnership with Richard Irons.

Masters retained his interest in beverages following the liquidation of his company but instead of manufacturing his own refreshments, he sold imported drinks. From November 1847 to May 1848 he advertised in the 'Wellington Independent', that the best Kent hops were being retailed at his Cooperage on Lambton Quay.

No user-marked bottles from this company are known to exist.
