W. Evenson
1922 - 1923
Walter Eel Evenson took Mrs. Bacon's factory at 78 Tory Street over in 1901, selling it back as Bacon & Co. Ltd. in 1906. During this period, Evenson's bottles were marked 'W. Evenson late J.L. Bacon'. Evenson bought the business from the Bacons again in 1922 and continued trading until the time of his death, on 9th September 1923.
Evenson made use of Codd patents with spun tops. This was the end of an era for the Codd patent which was being replaced by crown top bottles throughout the industry.
Following Evenson's death in 1923, the company was taken over by Thomson, Lewis & Co. Ltd.
