A. G. Saunders late C. W. Brodie
1906 - 1907
Alfred George Sanders purchased C. W. Brodie's aerated water establishment in 1906. The factory was located at 8 Sydney Street in Thorndon. Interestingly, Saunders decided to retain a reference to his predecessor on his bottles, presumably to take advantage of the clientele Brodie had built up over the years.
In 1907 Saunders bought the old Poswillo factory at Petone, more recently owned by Henry Davies. At this time, Saunders dropped the reference to Brodie on his bottles but added 'Petone' to the embossing to reflect the expansion of his business.
